Weekend and day trips
Our area has many options when you need a break. Spend an hour in the tropics at the Como Conservatory on a cold winter day. Take an afternoon to shop for antiques in Stillwater or the latest arrivals at the Mall of America and IKEA. Get out and see nature at regional and state parks right in town, or take a weekend trip to Duluth and the North Shore or the Wisconsin Dells. Camp out and see the mighty Mississippi start as barely a stream near Bemidji or spend an evening at Red Wing's St. James Hotel and cruise the widest stretch of the river at Lake Pepin.
