Future in Learning Law (FILL) students aspire to careers in law and law-related professions, such as attorneys, court reporters, or legal assistants.
These opportunities are possible through education. The FILL program strongly encourages all high school students to obtain a college and graduate-level education.
Through 48 hours of lectures, discussion groups, and hands-on workshops, students meet and hear from lawyers, judges, paralegals, law clerks, and law students. Some came to law school after other careers. All are examples of what FILL students can achieve.
Students will prepare for a mock trial. Activities include interviewing and counseling clients, analyzing real-world legal problems, and playing the roles of attorneys. The mock trial will be held before practicing attorneys and judges.
