William Mitchell College of Law Counseling Services is an on-campus support service for students, faculty, and staff of the law school.
William Mitchell established the Counseling Services program in 1991, recognizing the many demands and stresses we face as we seek to meet the expectations of self, family, jobs, and education.
All counseling services are confidential.

The initial consultation is free. A $25 co-payment fee is charged for each subsequent visit. Seminars and workshops are provided free to students, faculty, and staff.
Counseling is usually available a variety of days and times, and appointments will be made convenient to your schedule. Call for specific times.
Both the law school and the counselors recognize the individual's need for confidentiality. Counseling information will not be shared with anyone—unless you request in writing that the center do so. Every effort is made to ensure your privacy, including an off-site telephone number, non-staff counselors, and a quiet location.
Call (651) 290-8656—a confidential, off-campus phone—and leave your name and number. One of the counselors will then contact you to schedule an appointment or to answer any questions you may have.
Both members of the staff are licensed, independent clinical social workers who have a variety of experience and specializations.
Kathy Connolly is a licensed independent clinical social worker and coordinator of William Mitchell Counseling Services. She earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Minnesota in 1980. Kathy has clinical experience in criminal justice, mental health, and employee assistance, and is currently in private practice in the Uptown area of Minneapolis.
Delle Jacobs is a licensed independent clinical social worker and a licensed marriage and family therapist. she earned her master's degree in social work in 1983. Delle is currently in private practice in St. Paul. She has been with William Mitchell Counseling Services since its inception in 1991. Special areas of interest include hypnosis, couple's counseling, stress management, and test anxiety.
