Tax lawyers work with transactions, acquisitions and mergers, estate planning, or employee benefits and pensions, as well as administrative and judicial disputes between taxpayers and the government. Tax lawyers work in law firms, accounting firms, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and as consultants. William Mitchell graduates understand tax policy and the intricacies of the tax code. We provide taxation law courses that are carefully designed to provide a solid foundation for students interested in either private or public tax law practice.
