  • Help Using Pathways

Business law accounts for a substantial amount of practice by both large and small firms as well as by lawyers working “in-house” with businesses. Business lawyers work for businesses themselves and for business owners.  Client needs in the business area can involve formation of business entities; advice on management; financing and lending; sales, leasing and transportation of goods; secured transactions; compliance with securities regulations; employment and labor agreements and disputes; mergers and acquisitions; franchising and other licensing arrangements; and contract drafting and negotiation. The work is likely to include counseling, administrative compliance, and litigation.
