The Academic Achievement Program director and staff will offer Academic Achievement Workshops throughout the year on a variety of topics, including study strategies, time and stress management, critical reading, case briefing, legal analysis, outlining, and exam taking.   The workshops are open to all students, and all are encouraged to attend.  Each workshop is offered twice: Thursdays from noon to 1 pm, and Saturdays from 10 to 11 am.

Kathryn Tucker, director of Legal Affairs, Compassion in Choices and affiliate professor of law, Lewis & Clark College of Law, will speak on "Social Change in the Context of End of Life Care." Co-sponsored by the Center for Elder Justice and Policy and the student Elder Law and Estate Planning Society. She will review recent efforts to pass a “Right to Know End of Life Options Act” in California and will discuss current opportunities for and threats to patient autonomy at end of life. Professor Ted Sampsell-Jones presents this morning CLE on recent developments in evidence law in the Minnesota Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, on topics including character evidence, impeachment evidence, and the Confrontation Clause.
