Retooling for the New Economy: Learn about emerging areas of law

It’s a new economy. The mortgage meltdown and economic collapse have brought changes to the legal profession. Jobs in some areas of law are shrinking while other areas of law are affected by the new economy and could be a source of jobs for students and alumni.

As part of William Mitchell’s efforts to help alumni and students retool for the new economy, during spring semester we are offering free CLEs for alumni and a for-credit course for students on emerging areas of law. Guest lecturers who practice in bankruptcy, benefits, debtor/creditor, employment, energy, health, and immigration law will discuss their work. Mitchell Professors Gregory Duhl and Eileen Roberts will be moderators.

Application has been made for CLE credit. Alumni may attend up to three sessions, but space is limited.

To register, alumni must call Melissa Richard at 651-290-6319 or email melissa.richard@wmitchell.edu
