Checking Out Materials

The law library is primarily a research and reference library; therefore, many materials, including statutes, case reporters, reference materials, loose-leaf services and periodicals may not be taken out of the library.  You may consult the online catalog or a member of the library staff to determine if an item can be checked out.

William Mitchell Campus Community and the Minnesota Legal Community (alumni, attorneys, and students and faculty from other Minnesota law schools):  Consult the table below for circulation policies.

General Public:  Members of the general public are welcome to use the resources of the law library, but do not have borrowing privileges.  The library staff is happy to provide assistance with legal research questions, but cannot give legal advice or interpret legal authority.
