Fighting Eelpouts (Hockey Team)

William Mitchell’s hockey team, the Fighting Eelpout, is sponsored by the SBA. Approximately 25 male and female students of all skill levels participate in the program, the focus of which is to have fun. Inter-squad practices are held once per week at a nearby ice arena. The team plays against various bar associations such as Ramsey County and Hennepin County. The big game each year, called the Res Ipsa Cup, is played against rival Hamline Law School for bragging rights. It is held in the spring semester, and tickets sold to the game raise money for a designated charity.
