Phi Delta Phi

Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity, established in the year 1869 at the University of Michigan, is the oldest professional fraternity in existence today. It is also the world´s largest legal fraternity whose membership is restricted only to law students and practitioners of the law, and the second oldest legal organization of continuous existence in the United States.

The Phi Delta Phi chapter at William Mitchell College of Law, the Mitchell Inn, is devoted to achieving and maintaining academic and professional excellence, as well as perpetuating the public interest spirit of community volunteerism. The organization also offers various academic and minority scholarships and loans to its members through the Lloyd G. Balfour Foundation.

Three of the currently-sitting United States Supreme Court Justices have been initiated into this prestigious fraternity, along with eleven other past Justices.

The Phi Delta Phi Mitchell Inn is open to any William Mitchell student whose personally-held values and objectives are aligned with its own. Welcome!

Officer Listing is for the 2011-2012 Academic Year
