William Mitchell’s emphasis on practical lawyering skills infuses our curriculum and philosophy of teaching. From our writing and trial advocacy program to our clinic program, our curriculum combines skills training with a focus on ethics and legal theory, preparing you to be a powerful advocate and counselor for your clients. You will have done many of the things you will do as a lawyer before you even graduate: researching cases, counseling clients, negotiating deals, writing legal briefs, and appearing before judges. William Mitchell created the Rosalie Wahl Legal Practice Center, named after the first woman Minnesota Supreme Court justice and dedicated to the administration of many of our skills programs.
