Stewardship Officer
Mary oversees all donor acknowledgement and recognition programs for the Mitchell development team. She ensures major donors receive timely, appropriate information on the use and impact of their gifts, specifically those to endowments. She also assists the development team with specific stewardship needs for individual as well as organization donors. Mary has worked with non-profit organizations in a variety of roles for 15 years.

- Marie Ruzek '01
Development Officer
Marie Ruzek has been part of William Mitchell’s Development Office for three years. Before returning to her alma mater, she served in other fundraising capacities at the Minnesota Medical Foundation and the Minnesota Justice Foundation at the University of Minnesota Law School. Marie is the team’s expert in estate planning and is also focusing her time on fundraising for Mitchell’s IP Institute.

- Lisa Barton '97
Director of Development
Lisa joined William Mitchell as the Director of Development in the summer of 2007. Most recently she worked in development at the University of Utah. Prior to that, she was with The George Washington University Law School after practicing law for several years in Washington, D.C. She graduated from William Mitchell in 1997.

Major Gifts Officer
Bill came to William Mitchell from Hamline University Law School. As Major Gifts Officer, Bill is engaging alumni and friends in the life of the law school so they recognize and respond to the need for financial support for the school. He has 26 years of development experience.
