Joanna Woolman directs the Reentry Clinic. Ms. Woolman has been a public defender for six years, and is currently on leave from the Anoka County public defender’s office. The Reentry Clinic helps women overcome legal and social barriers to their successful reintegration.

Prior to working as a public defender, Woolman worked in civil rights litigation focusing on police brutality cases. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and of the University of San Francisco Law School.
