Steve Chávez is a business lawyer and consultant with more than 25 years of experience working with Fortune 500 and medium-sized businesses, in various industries, and emerging nonprofit organizations.

He also serves as a commissioner on the Planning Commissions for both Dakota County and the City of Eagan. He has served on the boards and committees of several nonprofit organizations, private foundations, and units of local government in the Twin Cities including United Way of Minneapolis, the Metropolitan Council, and the St. Paul Foundation. He continues to serve as a conciliation court referee for Hennepin County in Minneapolis.

Chávez earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School and his bachelor´s degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn.
