A. Kimberley Dayton created the National Elder Law Network (NELN) web site in 1995. The concept arose in connection with her role in starting an elder law clinic, and from her early interest in using the Internet to share information. Of special concern to Dayton was putting information on-line that either was not available on the Web, or was too difficult to access.
Dayton was a MAGEC fellow at the University of Minnesota Center on Aging, and is a Distinguished Fellow of the Canadian Centre for Elder Law Studies. She was a professor at the University of Kansas School of Law from 1986 to 2003, and has held visiting professorships at De Paul University College of Law, Washburn University School of Law, and the University of Miami School of Law’s summer London program.
