Legal Practicum
William Mitchell was a pioneer in introducing the Legal Practicum to U.S. legal education. In our Legal Practicum, you practice a wide range of skills by working as a two-person law firm handling a series of simulated cases, under the supervision and guidance of a full-time faculty member and lawyers and judges from the community.
You will appear before judges, arbitrators, elected officials, and agency administrators. You will interview clients, investigate facts, prepare memoranda, engage in mediation, and deliver oral arguments in such practice areas as personal injury, real estate, or contract dispute.
