The Independent Research course can be used to fulfill your Advanced Research and Writing requirement.
Students should obtain signatures approving the Independent Research proposal from the supervising professor and the Vice Dean. Further information about the requirements for the proposal can be found on the Web on the Course Descriptions page.
The Independent Research Proposal form is available in room 119 or online. Once the student has the approval of the supervising professor, the student submits the proposal and request for the signature of the Vice Dean to Renate Behrendt in room 356. Once the signature is obtained, the proposal is routed to the registrar.
Independent Research credits are added to the student's schedule by the registrar after the approved Independent Research Proposal is submitted. Confirmation of the course registration is emailed to the student.
