The rules of appellate procedure specify the format for briefs, and normally require a table of authorities. The automated table of authorities feature in Word and WordPerfect can save time over manually typing each citation and page number. The following resources give detailed instructions for creating tables of authorities. All books are located on reserve.

Help Screens

Within WordPerfect or Word, pull down the Help menu and select Help Topics or Microsoft Word Help. Select the Index tab and type in Table of Authorities.
