Co-sponsored by the ABA Law Student Division and the National Arbitration Forum, this competition is designed to promote greater knowledge and interest among law students about arbitration by simulating a realistic arbitration hearing. Participating students learn how to think, act, and be an advocate representing a client in an arbitration. They prepare and present an arbitration case and are involved in opening statements, witness examinations, exhibit introductions, evidentiary presentations, and summations. They also experience what it is to be a professional, competent, and ethical advocate.

Members of the team that advances to the national competition (there is no regional competition) will receive two credits.

Professor Christine Ver Ploeg is the faculty coordinator.
