Attorneys who pursue careers in taxation law work in fields dealing with transactions, acquisitions and mergers, estate planning, or employee benefits and pensions. Tax law attorneys work in law firms, accounting firms, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and as consultants. William Mitchell College of Law graduates understand tax policy and the intricacies of the tax code. We provide taxation law courses that are carefully designed to provide a solid foundation for students interested in either private or public tax law practice.

Lori Guzman heads her own firm, Guzman & Associates. She co-supervises the Tax Planning Clinic.

John Heithaus and Margaret Reisdorf 99 are with Ernst & Young Tax Services in Minneapolis. They co-teach Tax Research.
