as is done in many federal courtrooms; and
images can be displayed through the digital document camera, notes
can be taken on the SMART Board, and all can be saved for later
reproduction.
Each courtroom is:
about 28 feet by 24 feet in dimension;
furnished with a permanent 12-foot wood
and granite judicial bench with a 4-foot witness stand, sufficient to handle
three-judge panels in appellate hearings;
equipped with wall-mounted cameras and
microphones that can be managed by the judge with a remote control
and send a live feed to Remote Video Viewing rooms;
can be configured to house a jury
box, defense and prosecution tables, a podium, and additional
seating for audience members; and
is
fitted with wireless laptop
connections, a digital document camera, and a SMART Board.
