Mission
The mission of William Mitchell College of Law’s Academic Achievement Program (AAP) is to help all students master the analytical and communication skills necessary to succeed in law school and on the bar exam.
The AAP helps students work up to their potential by teaching them the skills required to problem solve effectively.
The AAP staff is dedicated to easing the transition from college to law school by demystifying the law-school process and helping students adjust to the demands of the first-year curriculum.
The AAP offers individual academic tutoring and a series of workshops on a wide range of topics.
Individual Academic Advising
Individual academic advising is available throughout the year to students who have specific concerns about any aspect of their academic performance and prefer to work individually.
To obtain individual assistance contact Professor Sally Zusman. She is happy to set an appointment to address any questions or concerns you may have.
Academic Achievement Workshops
The Academic Achievement Program director and staff will offer Academic Achievement Workshops throughout the year on a variety of topics, including study strategies, time and stress management, critical reading, case briefing, legal analysis, outlining, and exam taking. The workshops are open to all students, and all are encouraged to attend. Each workshop is offered twice: Thursdays from noon to 1 pm, and Saturdays from 10 to 11 am.
